Aberdeen FC Community Trust has landed £15,000 from the Persimmon Foundation to keep driving its work on inequality, health and opportunities across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. The cheque was handed over at Pittodrie Stadium as the club’s charity gears up for another busy year.
What’s the funding for?
The cash will back programmes that use football to improve lives-from education and wellbeing to sport for all ages. Peter Davidson, the trust’s chief executive, said the grant will help keep their impact strong. “We’re really grateful to the Persimmon Foundation for their support of AFCCT and their genuine interest in what we do,” he said.
Who made it happen?
Tanya Fowlie, sales director at Persimmon Homes North Scotland, and Duncan Massey, the SNP MSP for North East Scotland, presented the cheque. Anthony Vigor, chair of the Persimmon Foundation, called the trust a “fantastic example” of how community groups can change lives.

The trust has been Aberdeen FC’s official charity partner since 2014. It runs sessions for thousands each year, mixing football with learning and health drives.
