Aberdeen FC is looking to cut their squad after making eight summer signings. The Dons are currently in the Netherlands on their pre-season training camp.

What's the challenge?

Aberdeen FC manager Stephen Robinson has claimed Lutz Pfannenstiel has the hardest job at the club, trimming the overloaded squad. The sporting director has been charged with getting players out, with only one departure so far this summer.

Who's affected?

The likes of Marko Lazetic, Nicolas Milanovic, Ante Palaversa, Kusini Yengi, and Peter Ambrose have all been made available, but have still to secure exits. Record Sport earlier revealed Elfsborg are closing in on a deal to land right-back Alexander Jensen.

What's next?

Robinson expects to make more signings before the close of the window, but that is dependent on getting others out. The Aberdeen board has made a seven-figure kitty available, allowing him to sign Moroccan striker Ayoub Mouloua and Brentford winger Tony Yogane. | Category | Stat | | --- | --- | | League standing | 8th in Premiership, 33 pts, 9W-6D-18L from 33 games, recent form LLWDW | | Goals this season | 33 scored, 48 conceded (-15 goal difference) | | Title race | 37 points behind leaders Heart Of Midlothian | Aberdeen FC is working to balance their squad, with Robinson aiming for an ideal size of 23 players, including three goalkeepers and a few younger boys.
