Aberdeen FC's Alexander Jensen is set to leave the club as Elfsborg close in on a move for the Danish defender. The Swedish side has lodged a six-figure bid for Jensen, and the clubs are now in talks to try to strike an agreement.

What's happening with the transfer?

Aberdeen FC are keen to recoup some of the money they invested in their squad last season. Jensen was signed by Jimmy Thelin from Brommapojkarna for around £650,000 back in 2025.

Why is Jensen leaving?

Jensen is now on the verge of a return to Sweden at his former manager's old club. Malmo had also been interested earlier in the season, but Elfsborg are now in the driving seat.

What's next for Aberdeen FC?

Dons boss Stephen Robinson is prepared to sell Jensen if the deal is right for the club. Robinson still has Nicky Devlin and Dylan Lobban for right-back competition.
