Aberdeen FC Gains Strengthened Defense with Chris Cadden
Aberdeen FC has bolstered its squad by welcoming 29-year-old right-back Chris Cadden on a two-year deal, effective from July 1st. Cadden's journey to Pittodrie began after his final appearance for Hibernian in the Conference League qualifying match against Malisheva at Easter Road, where he came off the bench.
Cadden has made significant contributions during his five-year tenure with Hibs, featuring in 27 matches last season and starting 19 of them. His departure from Hibernian comes after a total of 166 appearances since joining from Columbus Crew in 2018.
Manager's Praise for Cadden
Manager Stephen Robinson expressed his excitement about the signing, stating that Cadden is an excellent addition not only due to his on-field abilities but also because of his character and professionalism. 'Chris is a brilliant addition to our group,' said Robinson, highlighting Cadden’s attributes such as his strong engine, willingness to support the attack, and defensive reliability.
Robinson further noted: ‘He was incredibly keen to make this move happen and that tells you a lot about his hunger and his desire to be part of what we’re building here. ’ This enthusiasm from Cadden signifies his commitment to Aberdeen FC’s goals and ambitions.
