Aberdeen FC are still waiting to see if their interest in former Man City youngster Jadel Katongo can be ramped up, with the full-back on the Dons' list of targets. The recruitment team has put forward a list of options to the Reds manager, Stephen Robinson.

Aberdeen have since touched base with Kayserispor to assess the financials. Reports from Turkey have recently claimed Katongo had terminated his deal with Kayserispor, but Dons officials don’t believe this is the case and the 21-year-old is still contracted to Turkish Second Division side.
Why is Katongo a target for Aberdeen FC?
Robinson is still looking to add a right-sided defender. He played Dylan Lobban against Brora Rangers and Kelty Hearts, while Lewis Mayo started against Queen’s Park. Brad Lyons was in for the Queen of the South game while experienced defender Nicky Devlin has found himself on the fringes.
