Former Aberdeen winger Niall McGinn believes Stephen Robinson can make the Dons a force again if he gets the financial backing. McGinn worked with Robinson at international level during their time with Northern Ireland where Robinson was assistant to Michael O'Neill. McGinn believes his countryman has all the attributes needed to be a success at Pittodrie and says the new Dons head coach's knowledge of Scottish football will be invaluable. McGinn said: 'Stephen is coming into a league where he knows what the standards are. He knows what he's come up against every week.' McGinn thinks Robinson will do well but it's the financial backing that will make the difference. The new Dons head coach will need to make some tough decisions to get the team back on track. McGinn is confident that Robinson has the skills and experience to make Aberdeen FC a force again. The former winger is looking forward to seeing how the new head coach will shape the team. McGinn believes that with the right financial backing, Robinson can make Aberdeen FC a successful team again.
